Locke

NO TURNING BACK.

Ivan Locke (Tom Hardy) is driving to London on a desperate mission, while also staying in touch over the phone with his family (whose lives heā€™s about to destroy) and his co-workers (whom heā€™s about to abandon). Steven Knightā€™s second film as director was lauded by many and itā€™s easy to see why. Taking place entirely in Lockeā€™s car, it maintains tension thanks to Knightā€™s skill (as a writer and visualizer) and Hardyā€™s acting as his character juggles three crises at the same time. Interesting, but our commitment suffers a bit because of the destructive nature of Lockeā€™s plight.
