Fractured

FINDING HIS FAMILY MEANS FACING THE TRUTH.

After an accident, Ray Monroe (Sam Worthington) brings his injured daughter to a hospital… but then she and his wife disappear without a trace. A thriller that begins by depicting its lead character in a numb and dazed state of mind and continues that way throughout. There’s a reason for it, of course, but it’s off-putting and makes us constantly question him and everything that happens, frustratingly waiting for whatever twist the filmmakers cooked up. The path leading up to it feels entirely run-of-the-mill.

2019-U.S. 99 min. Color. Widescreen. Directed by Brad Anderson. Cast: Sam Worthington (Ray Monroe), Lily Rabe (Joanne Monroe), Stephen Tobolowsky (Berthram), Adjoa Andoh, Lucy Capri.

Trivia: First shown at Fantastic Fest, then released to Netflix.
