The Loudest Voice

THE INSIDE STORY OF THE MAN WHO BUILT FOX NEWS.

A furious but unremarkable account of the rise of Roger Ailes as mediaā€™s master manipulator. Each episode treats seminal events in his life and career from 1995 to 2016, showing how Fox News evolved during 9/11, through the Obama years and then fueled Trumpā€™s campaign; right-wing loudmouths were good for ratings. Russell Crowe gives a commanding performance under a ton of prosthetics. The man we meet here is brilliant, shameless and disgusting; part of the story is also Fox News journalist Gretchen Carlson and the many other women he reportedly assaulted.
