Feeling underappreciated by their adult sons, three women (Angela Bassett, Patricia Arquette, Felicity Huffman) drive to New York City to make sure they spend some quality time with them. Cindy Chupack has a lot of experience from TV shows like Sex and the City and this material feels like it should flourish in her feature directing debut. The three stars are fine, especially Bassett, and the story treats the issue of motherhood from different angles… but the results are only superficially engaging.
