A film that celebrates the unlikely rise of Knight as a wrestling star, combining a traditionally British comedy with a traditionally American sports drama about overcoming difficulties. Capably navigated by Stephen Merchant; funny and heartwarming, with Dwayne Johnson playing himself. Pugh is very engaging as the fiery but insecure Saraya.
