Fighting with My Family

MEET AN OUTSIDER WHO CHANGED THE GAME.

18-year-old Saraya Knight (Florence Pugh) comes from a wrestling-crazy working-class family in Norwich, England; when she’s selected, and not her brother (Jack Lowden), by the WWE to train in Miami she’s both thrilled and heartbroken. A film that celebrates the unlikely rise of Knight as a wrestling star, combining a traditionally British comedy with a traditionally American sports drama about overcoming difficulties. Capably navigated by Stephen Merchant; funny and heartwarming, with Dwayne Johnson playing himself. Pugh is very engaging as the fiery but insecure Saraya.

2019-Britain-U.S. 108 min. Color. Widescreen. Written and directed by Stephen Merchant. Cast: Florence Pugh (Saraya ”Paige” Knight), Jack Lowden (Zak ”Zodiac” Knight), Nick Frost (Patrick ”Rowdy Ricky” Knight), Lena Headey (Julia ”Sweet Saraya” Knight), Vince Vaughn, Dwayne Johnson… Stephen Merchant.

Trivia: Co-executive produced by Merchant and Johnson. Inspired by a 2012 documentary. Several real-life WWE stars appear in the film.
