IN 2019, A BELOVED TALE WILL TAKE YOU TO NEW HEIGHTS.
In 1919, circus performer Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell) returns after the war to the circus and his two kids, but learns that his new job is to handle the elephants, including a new baby with unusually large ears. The first of several Disney classics to get a big-budget live-action remake in 2019 is a very Burton-esque take on the 1941 film, complete with Michael Keaton looking like an evil version of Bruce Wayne. The 3D visuals and themes bring a streak of darkness to the fantasy. Lacks the charm of the original, but stands on its own and makes an effective argument against keeping caged circus animals.
