BACK TO WORK.
At a time when the public has no trust in superheroes anymore, a billionaire contacts the Parrs and offers them a way to relaunch their careers. It took Pixar and Brad Bird 14 years to produce a sequel, but it was worth the wait. Firmly grounded in the originalās visual look, but nicely complemented by the technical progress weāve seen these years, the story lets Elastigirl dominate the action while Mr. Incredible takes care of the kids ā which is also part of the fun, because the baby turns out to have immense powers. A very entertaining film, exceptionally action-packed in 3Dā¦ perhaps to disguise the fact that the story isnāt its strongest ingredient.

Last word: “Finally, I thought I had the right idea. I pitched it, they green-lit it, we got a release date, and then our release date got moved up a year because ‘Toy Story 4’ was having trouble coming together. Then suddenly, I realized a chunk of the movie didnāt serve the idea that I was committed to, which was the role switch. The superhero/villain plot involved artificial intelligence and it was a cool idea, but it didnāt operate emotionally with the part that I was committed to with the family. So, that part of the idea was constantly changing through production, and we had this oncoming freight train of the release date, a year closer than it should have been. So, it was a race.” (Bird, Deadline)
