YOU’LL BE GLAD YOU CAME.
Four friends (Regina Hall, Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith, Tiffany Haddish) who call themselves āThe Flossy Posseā are reunited after many years for a trip to New Orleans. The kind of film that came in the wake of The Hangover (2009) where friendship is tested and celebrated during an intense weekend of partying. This one has an African-American feminist bent, but the story is thin and protracted. Still, the film gets a boost from the four leads, where Haddish stands out in her breakthrough, and its presence at the actual Essence Music Festival. Oh, and yes, the āgolden showerā scene.
