FIGHT YOUR WAY OUT.
Young Brit Billy Moore (Joe Cole) tries to make a living as a boxer in Thailand, but canāt stay away from drugs; after getting arrested, heās sent to a hellhole of a prisonā¦ The easy comparison is Midnight Express (1978), another reality-based story about a white man trying to survive under horrible circumstances in a prison far from home. Not always compelling, but the filmmakers did try to depict Mooreās situation as earnestly as possible, staying grounded as the camera records the bodies, tattoos, dirt, blood, suffering, with no sentimentality whatsoever. Raw and powerful, with a fully committed performance by Peaky Blinders star Cole.
