Inconceivable

DECEPTION HITS HOME.Ā

Brian and Angela (Nicolas Cage, Gina Gershon) invite Katie (Nicky Whelan) into their lives to work as a part-time nanny, but there are signs that not everything about her is rightā€¦ Thereā€™s a few similarities in this thriller to movies like The Hand That Rocks the Cradle (1992), but the evil presence that comes close to destroying a family turns into a big, fat snore. Inconceivably dull and predictable. Cage and Gershon would be more ideal as grandparents, but the latter nevertheless gives the movieā€™s best performance.Ā

2017-U.S. 105 min. Color. Widescreen. Directed byĀ Jonathan Baker. Cast: Nicolas Cage (Brian), Gina Gershon (Angela), Faye Dunaway (Donna), Nicky Whelan (Katie), Natalie Eva Marie, Jonathan Baker.

Trivia: Lindsay Lohan was originally cast. Dunaway had a broken leg, which is why sheā€™s sitting in all her scenes.
