In a future where anonymity has been completely erased, detective Sal Frieland (Clive Owen) discovers that several murders may be connected to a girl (Amanda Seyfried) he saw in the street who didn’t seem to have an identity… A disappointment from Andrew Niccol who’s done interesting science fiction in the past. The world he invites us to share here is a claustrophobic nightmare, often seen from the characters’ perspective. Old-fashioned ideas behind a modern façade; too cold and gray, and you won’t care who the killer is.
