Teenager Frankie (Harris Dickinson) hangs around with his buddies in Brooklyn and meets a cute girl (Madeline Weinstein)ā¦ but he also spends his nights looking online to hook up with older men. A portrait of a closeted young life that has the feel of authenticity. Dickinson is good as the handsome teen whose life isnāt really going anywhere at the moment; as heās struggling to make things work with his girlfriend, heās also exploring the possibilities of a new life, but the strain of it all (his father is also dying) is crushing. Low-key and uneven, this drama never shakes off predictability but is still a relevant look at one part of gay life.
