EVERY CHILD NEEDS TO FEEL LOVED.
Young American Greta Evans (Lauren Cohan) arrives at a rural mansion in England where she’s been hired as a nanny… but then she learns that the boy is in fact a porcelain doll cared for by its owners as if he were their actual son. A horror movie that followed in the wake of Annabelle (2014), introducing another scary doll, Brahms. He may have an eerie presence, but this film nevertheless suffers from an overly familiar set-up and an alarming dearth of good shocks. Once the final twist is revealed it comes across as less believable than the original premise.
