SAMANTHA IS HIS DREAM. LUCAS IS HIS NIGHTMARE.
Gary Bloom (Adam Scott) marries Samantha (Evageline Lilly) and moves in with her, but she has a five-year-old son (Owen Atlas) who seems downright hostile; Gary becomes increasingly convinced that he has demonic powers… The director of Tucker and Dale vs Evil (2010) returns for another horror-inspired comedy, this time borrowing ideas from the Omen movies, including a Damien lookalike (who also reminds us of Angus Young of AC/DC fame). An amusing story, boosted by Scott in the lead and comedian Bridget Everett who’s funny as his partner-in-crime… but the movie runs out of steam in its second half.
