Two teenagers (Olivia DeJonge, Ed Oxenbould) are sent to their maternal grandparents on a five-day visitā¦ but soon discover that āNanaā and āPop Popā are acting very strangely. After bombing with two sci-fi movies, M. Night Shyamalan returned to the horror genre with this modestly budgeted found-footage exercise ā and itās a lot more fun. Much better made than most found-footage thrillers, this one is unevenly paced but blends horror and comedy in an unusual and bizarre way and delivers its twist in a scene thatās successfully chilling. The kids are easy to like, especially Oxenbould whoās funny and charming.
