London Has Fallen

THE WORLD’S LEADERS HAVE ASSEMBLED. SO HAVE THEIR ENEMIES.

londonhasfallenWhen world leaders, including U.S. President Benjamin Asher (Aaron Eckhart), gather in London for the funeral of the British prime minister, terrorists attack the city in full force. The director’s first American film is a sequel to Olympus Has Fallen (2013) and it’s just as preposterous. As the president and his closest Secret Service agent (Butler) try to dodge terrorists in London, there’s barely a moment that feels remotely plausible and the visual effects are very uneven. Still, it’s the same over-the-top attitude that made the original fun, and the two leads are engaging in a corny way.
