After serving time for involuntary manslaughter, former race car driver Tobey Marshall (Aaron Paul) is released on parole and sets out to avenge the death of a close friend. This 3D adaptation of a popular series of video games is a chance for Breaking Bad star Paul to show us that he can carry a movie, and he’s not bad at all. But he and everybody else is struggling with a generally uninteresting story and cardboard characters. May amuse Fast and Furious fans on a shallow level though, because the director (a former stunt driver) brings adrenaline to the car chases.
