The Woman in Black: Angel of Death

SHE NEVER FORGIVES. SHE NEVER FORGETS. SHE NEVER LEFT.Ā

womaninblack2During the Blitz, a group of schoolchildren and their teachers are evacuated to an eerie mansion in the countryside where they soon learn that they are not alone. The sequel to the 2012 hit moves up to World War II and introduces a new cast of characters, but everything else remains the same. Handsomely produced, but the build-up is very slow and the shocks strictly standard. The characters donā€™t leave much of an impression and the final scene is annoyingly by-the-book.

2014-Britain-Canada. 98 min. Color. Widescreen. Directed byĀ Tom Harper. Cast: Phoebe Fox (Eve Parkins), Jeremy Irvine (Harry Burnstow), Helen McCrory (Jean Hogg), Adrian Rawlins, Leanne Best, Ned Dennehy.

Trivia: Alternative title: The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death.
