WHERE MONSTERS GO TO GET AWAY FROM IT ALL.Â
Count Dracula has built a luxurious hotel in Transylvania to serve as a getaway for the monsters of the world… and as a way to protect his daughter from mankind. Assembling all the familiar monsters for an animated comedy is not a novel idea (this one was likely inspired by Mad Monster Party (1967)), but one so ripe with possibilities that it’s worth doing again. This 3D adventure may be a little too hysterical for anyone over the age of eight, and it wouldn’t have hurt if the writers had spent a little more time on the story. Music segments are more annoying than engaging… but it’s still fun, never a dull moment.
