Killing Kennedy

killingkennedyAs President John F. Kennedy (Rob Lowe) faces difficult international challenges in office, a man (Will Rothhaar) who once tried to defect to the Soviet Union grows increasingly hateful against the President… After portraying the assassination of Lincoln in a previous book, Fox News host Bill O’Reilly focused on the events leading up to the shots in Dallas in 1963. The actors are fine, and comparing Kennedy and Oswald is an intriguing idea… but it doesn’t pay off. We learn nothing new about them, so there’s no tension.

2013-U.S. Made for TV. 87 min. Color. Directed by Nelson McCormick. Book: Bill O’Reilly, Martin Dugard. Cast: Rob Lowe (John F. Kennedy), Will Rothhaar (Lee Harvey Oswald), Ginnifer Goodwin (Jacqueline Kennedy), Michelle Trachtenberg, Jack Noseworthy, Casey Siemaszko.

Trivia: Co-executive produced by O’Reilly and Ridley Scott.
