LIVE FOR LOVE.
After a wintry car crash, 17-year-old Mia Hall (Chloë Grace Moretz) wakes up in the snow and realizes that she has left her comatose body; as she watches herself and her family fight for their lives, she also recalls a love affair… Documentary director and Nashville producer R.J. Cutler’s narrative feature film debut is based on young adult fiction, but thankfully without a dystopian futuristic setting. The story is mediocre and characters depicted in a rather shallow, clichéd fashion, but the filmmakers build our emotions well as they explore the past and the present, and get a lot of help from a good cast, especially Moretz.
