GET IN. GET OUT. GETAWAY.
Former race driver Brent Magna (Ethan Hawke) steals a special Shelby Mustang, following the instructions of a Voice (Jon Voight) that’s holding his wife hostage. May have looked like a cool idea on paper, but this action thriller, which shares similarities with Phone Booth (2003), inspires nothing but headache with its fast cuts and blend of surveillance footage and traditional camerawork. No real tension in the car chases, no real surprises in the story, and no real chance to feel for the characters.
