After the death of her parents in a car accident, writer Erika Falck (Claudia Galli) learns that her mother had dark secrets dating back to World War II. The first adaptation of a Camilla Läckberg mystery novel to reach the big screen tells two stories simultaneously – what went on between a group of friends 70 years ago, and the consequences of those events today. Fairly handsome production, but the film moves painfully slowly. Sounds intriguing on paper, but the script leaves one cold.
