HE LIKES HIS WHISKEY HARDā¦ HIS WOMEN SOFTā¦ AND HIS WEST ALL TO HIMSELF!
Rancher George Washington McLintock (John Wayne) is suddenly visited by his wife (Maureen O’Hara) who left him years ago; now she’s demanding a divorce and custody of their daughter (Stefanie Powers). Wayne found what he believed to be the perfect vehicle for his conservative views, a Western comedy inspired by Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew”. A huge hit in its day with colorful efforts from Wayne and O’Hara as his very hostile missus. Lots of slapstick, including a very amusing mud bath, but unnecessarily long, and its view of women deserves a public spanking of its own.
