Sarah Palin: You Betcha!

100 % NOT AUTHORIZED.

Nick Broomfield, the filmmaker who inspired Michael Moore and Morgan Spurlock, takes on former Alaska Governor and GOP vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin, portraying one side of her by talking with her parents and some of the people in Alaska that crossed her path to power. Those meetings are occasionally enlightening, but the movie as a whole is a failure since Broomfield never really gets close to Palin herself. The only times he meets her are at two book signings where pleasantries are the only thing exchanged. Highly critical of the subject, the film addresses all kinds of relevant and irrelevant facts or stories about Palin, leaving one unsatisfied.

2011-U.S. 91 min. Color. Directed by Nick Broomfield, Joan Churchill.
