Sacramento crossword-puzzle writer Mary Horowitz (Sandra Bullock) falls head over heels for a news cameraman (Bradley Cooper) and starts following him, hoping to ignite a romance. Bullock has a thing for playing socially inept people in romantic comedies, but the problem is that we never really believe in her; she’s too glamorous. This one is a little odd, as we follow the merry misadventures of a stalker. It doesn’t lead anywhere, but Thomas Haden Church is amusing as a vain reporter.
