HOW DO YOU SAVE YOURSELF WHEN YOU’RE ALREADY DEAD?
After a car crash, Anna Taylor (Christina Ricci) wakes up in a basement where a funeral director (Liam Neeson) is preparing her body for the memorial service; she’s told to accept the fact that she is dead. Well, is she or isn’t she? And what are Neeson’s intentions? The filmmakers keep us guessing throughout the movie and wants us to start appreciating the gift of life… but this horror fantasy is a bit of a mess, illogical, melodramatic at times and far from compelling. Still, a few interesting touches here and there.
