Justin Bieber: Never Say Never

FIND OUT WHAT’S POSSIBLE IF YOU NEVER GIVE UP.

The Canadian teenager who started out as a YouTube phenomenon and then grew into a sensation that has millions of girls screaming at the very sight of his mop gets a documentary/concert movie that is little more than simply a PR tool. The story of how he grew up and was discovered by a young talent manager is not without relevance or charm, but we’re never offered anything that might lie beneath the surface. The same goes for the backstage footage, apart from a throat incident that illustrates one disadvantage of Justin Bieber’s youth. The music is strictly for fans, but the 3D does bring Bieber and his guests closer to the audience.

2011-U.S. 105 min. Color. Directed byĀ Jon Chu. FeaturingĀ Justin Bieber, Usher, Jaden Smith, Boyz II Men, Miley Cyrus, Ludacris.
