The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

RETURN TO MAGIC. RETURN TO HOPE. RETURN TO NARNIA.

Lucy and Edmund Pevensie (Georgie Henley, Skandar Keynes) and their annoying cousin (Will Poulter) are sucked into a painting that lands them back in Narnia, together with Prince Caspian (Ben Barnes) aboard a ship on a mission. Disney abandoned this franchise for financial reasons, but Fox were willing to take a chance, delivering an adventure in the same vein as the two previous films. This chapter is thankfully a little shorter, but nevertheless disappointing. The voyage of the Dawn Treader takes us on a wild ride, but the action is mostly tepid and the 3D effects superfluous.

2010-U.S. 113 min. Color. Widescreen. Directed by Michael Apted. Novel: C.S. Lewis. Cast: Georgie Henley (Lucy Pevensie), Skandar Keynes (Edmund Pevensie), Ben Barnes (Caspian), Will Poulter (Eustace Scrubb), Tilda Swinton. Voices of Liam Neeson, Simon Pegg.
