Director Nicole Holofcener got a minor breakthrough to a larger audience with this, her third indie flick, probably because Jennifer Aniston was headlining it. It is a depiction of four women where three of them are married and reasonably successful (but not very happy) and the fourth one is single and works as a maid. We follow them around and get to study their relationships with each other and the men in their lives. Good acting, and always entertaining, but thereās nothing new here. Simon McBurneyās seemingly gay character comes off as a simple joke.
