LEARN DIGNITY. DEMAND RESPECT.
As two of Madea’s (Tyler Perry) nieces find themselves at crucial junctures in their lives, perhaps the aggressive but good-hearted matriarch’s advice comes in handy? The director had a surprise hit with Diary of a Mad Black Woman (2005); this is not a direct sequel but the character of Madea makes a comeback. Perry in drag is still not a good idea, the jokes aren’t funny and the movie drowns in mush. Cicely Tyson and Maya Angelou try to add weight, but it’s too little, too lame.
