TRUST NO ONE. DECEIVE EVERYONE.
Covert CIA operative Roger Ferris (Leonardo DiCaprio) makes a deal with the charismatic head (Mark Strong) of Jordanian intelligence; they aim to expose a dangerous network of Islamic terrorists. An ambitious thriller about cultural clashes, the realities of terrorism and the differences between a field operative and his boss who sits on his ass in Langley and watches the ground war via spy drones. Intelligent and believable, the film shows a horrible way of living your life in the name of your country. The film boasts good performances, but is ultimately overlong and unsurprising.
