Amelia (Anne Hathaway) is prepared to assume the throne of Genovia, but her right to it is questioned by a rival who points out that the law demands she finds a mate.Ā If thereās any preteen girls out there whose princess fantasies werenāt fulfilled by watching the first film, hereās another chance. Hathaway and Julie Andrews are OK, but Heather Matarazzoās part is even more thankless than in the original. The filmmakers turn a 30-minute premise into something overly long, cute, predictable and dull.Ā
