HAVE YOU EVER MADE A REALLY BIG MISTAKE?
Norbit, a bullied orphan, is protected by a very large, mean and domineering girl; as adults, they marry but Norbit sees a chance to escape when he meets another childhood friend (Thandiwe Newton) again. Eddie Murphy was maligned for making this cheap comedy after his Oscar-nominated turn in Dreamgirls (2006). He works hard in his three roles, and a few of the shameless fat jokes will provoke laughs, but with every character a stereotype and writing this sloppy the film becomes a bore.
