DEBONAIR. DEFIANT. DEFROSTED.
Superagent Austin Powers (Mike Myers) was cryogenically frozen in the 1960s, but awakened 30 years later to fight his arch-enemy, Dr. Evil. The star based his character on the idea of British spies as men who always save the world but are never too busy for the ladies; Austin may have hideous teeth but is still sexually irresistible. Myers is very funny as the swinging agent who collides with the trends of the 1990s; he also plays Dr. Evil who has a few hilarious scenes where he tries to reach out to his estranged teenage son. Childish stuff, but with plenty of laughs, including that silly golf cart scene.
