A FILM ABOUT LOVE, MARRIAGE, HAPPINESSā¦ AND THE LITTLE DISTRACTIONS IN BETWEEN.
Mick Fitzpatrick (Edward Burns) meets a woman and marries her at the same time as his brother (Mike McGlone) is cheating on his wife with Mickās ex-girlfriend. Director Burns followed up on his critically acclaimed The Brothers McMullen (1995) with another movie about brothers and their relationships with women. No surprises here and hardly profound, but Burns paces it well and picks actors who make these intrigues fun to follow; results are charming. John Mahoney may have a different set of sons here than on Frasier, but he’s just as entertaining.
