Little Nicky

YOU KNOW HIS NUMBER. YOU KNOW HIS NAME. AND NOW YOU WILL MEET… HIS SON.

When his nasty brothers wreak havoc on Earth, Satan’s overly sweet son Nicky (Adam Sandler) has to bring them back to Hell. Every Sandler movie may be hell to some, but this really is one of his worst. The star gives the same kind of annoying performance as in Billy Madison (1995) and Harvey Keitel is a letdown as Satan, looking like he’s just hanging around for his paycheck. Other supporting talents are better, but the movie is a real drag, with lousy effects and a dull design of Hell.

2000-U.S. 90 min. Color. Directed by Steven Brill. Cast: Adam Sandler (Nicky), Patricia Arquette (Valerie), Harvey Keitel (Satan), Rhys Ifans, Tommy ”Tiny” Lister, Jr., Rodney Dangerfield… Kevin Nealon, Reese Witherspoon, Quentin Tarantino. Cameos: Ozzy Osbourne, Henry Winkler, Rob Schneider, Jon Lovitz, Dana Carvey, Carl Weathers, Michael McKean.

Trivia: Keitel allegedly replaced Dustin Hoffman as Satan.
