WIFE GOES ON. 

Molly Kagan (Debra Messing) is abandoned by her husband the minute he finds success in Hollywood as a studio exec; now she has to find herself and deal with being ostracized by the community. A miniseries with shades of Desperate Housewives; at the center of it are not only “the starter wife”, but also several of her friends and a mysterious man she’s attracted to. Messing is engaging, Judy Davis excellent and it’s all pretty entertaining in spite of its length. However, when all is said and done, the results are predictable and rather flat.
