Domestic Disturbance

HE WILL DO ANYTHING TO PROTECT HIS FAMILY.

domesticdisturbance12-year-old Matt O’Leary (Danny Morrison) learns that mom’s new boyfriend (Vince Vaughn) is a very rotten apple and the only one who believes him is his father (John Travolta). Another cheap thriller from director Harold Becker. Only virtues are the performances from Vaughn as the pleasant but mysterious stepdad, Steve Buscemi as his former partner-in-crime and Travolta as the boat builder who takes his son’s concerns seriously. Frustratingly dependent on its formula, the script is so inept it even fails in convincing you that Travolta would believe his son.

2001-U.S. 89 min. Color. Widescreen. Directed by Harold Becker. Cast: John Travolta (Frank Morrison), Vince Vaughn (Rick Barnes), Teri Polo (Susan Barnes), Matt O’Leary (Danny Morrison), Steve Buscemi, Ruben Santiago-Hudson.
