HE WAS THE PERFECT HUSBAND UNTIL HIS ONE MISTAKE FOLLOWED THEM HOME.

whatliesbeneathClaire Spencer (Michelle Pfeiffer) discovers that she and hubby Norman (Harrison Ford) live in a haunted house; learning who the ghost is puts both her marriage and life at risk. This terrifying ghost story has its benefits. The stars make a likable couple, thereā€™s several surprises (although the tagline basically gives away the whole plot) and a pleasingly large amount of satisfying shocks, involving some great, scary visual effects. The filmmakers are seriously inspired by Hitchcock and that works well for the drama… up until the ending when the movie becomes an unbelievable psycho thriller.
