Rolling Stone reporter Adam Lawrence (John Travolta) intends to write a story about health clubs as the modern equivalent to singles bars, and starts dating one of the hottest aerobics instructors (Jamie Lee Curtis) around. Travolta and director James Bridges reunited after Urban Cowboy (1980) for a drama that pretends to have serious ambitions but cares more about showcasing steamy bodies simulating sex. One part of the story could have turned into a thriller, but nothing comes out of it.
