The Final Conflict

THE POWER OF EVIL IS NO LONGER IN THE HANDS OF A CHILD.

The son of Satan, Damien Thorn (Sam Neill), is appointed new ambassador to Britain, but his arch-enemy is also headed for London.Ā The thirdĀ OmenĀ movie shows our boy all grown up and ready to set the world on fire. This chapter is pretty dull up until the truly bizarre showdown between Damien and Jesus Christ. The movieā€™s attempt to be devoutly religious and blood-spatteringly sadistic comes across as merely tasteless. Neill is quite good, though.

1981-U.S. 108 min. Color. Widescreen. Directed byĀ Graham Baker. Cast: Sam Neill (Damien Thorn), Rossano Brazzi (DeCarlo), Don Gordon (Dean), Lisa Harrow, Mason Adams.Ā

Trivia:Ā Followed by a TV movie,Ā Omen IV: The AwakeningĀ (1991).
