ONE MAN SAW IT COMING. 

In 2035, Chicago cop Del Spooner (Will Smith) investigates a suicide and starts thinking that it’s actually a murder committed by a robot. I like stories about machines that rise up against mankind as much as the next guy, but watching the visionary Alex Proyas turn an Isaac Asimov tale into a typical Will Smith actioner is less than inspiring. The robots are ingeniously designed (looking deceptively harmless) and some action sequences get one’s adrenaline going, but too much of it is Hollywood standard fare. The visual effects occasionally make the movie look like a video game.
