Batman & Robin

STRENGTH. COURAGE. HONOR. AND LOYALTY.

This time, Batman comes with a personal credit card. Opus #4 threw in too many stupid one-liners and ridiculous gadgets. This is essentially a (less than hilarious) comedy that doesnā€™t know what to focus on; thereā€™s two villains, Batgirl is introduced, Batman and Robin are fighting over a woman and Alfred is dying. None of this is compelling enough and the action is just noisy. Arnold Schwarzenegger probably had fun as a very campy Mr. Freeze, but his character will leave viewers cold.

1997-U.S. 130 min. Color. Directed byĀ Joel Schumacher. Cast: Arnold Schwarzenegger (Victor Fries/Mr. Freeze), George Clooney (Bruce Wayne/Batman), Chris Oā€™Donnell (Dick Grayson/Robin), Uma Thurman (Pamela Isley/Poison Ivy), Alicia Silverstone, Michael Gough… Pat Hingle, Elle Macpherson.

Trivia:Ā Patrick Stewart was allegedly considered for the part of Mr. Freeze.

Razzie:Ā Worst Supporting Actress (Silverstone).

Quote:Ā ā€œAllow me to break the ice. My name is Freeze. Learn it well. For itā€™s the chilling sound of your doom.ā€ (Schwarzenegger introduces himself)
