THE STORY OF A WANNABE WHO GOT TO BE.
Chris Cole (Mark Wahlberg), the lead singer in a tribute band, suddenly gets the chance to front the real thing, the heavy metal band Steel Dragons. Well, how long do you think it takes before the booze and the groupies come between the new rock star and his girlfriend (Jennifer Aniston)? Itās kind of hard imagining āMarky Markā as a long-haired, ā80s-style rocker and Aniston really looks like sheās just playing a part. The film has its enjoyable moments but the American dream depicted here is thoroughly predictable.
