TWO FRIENDS ARE ABOUT TO CUT ONE HOLLYWOOD BIG SHOT DOWN TO SIZE.

14-year-old Jason Shepherd (Frankie Muniz) goes to Hollywood to teach a big-time producer (Paul Giamatti) a lesson; he stole a paper from the kid and is now preparing to turn it into a movie without giving credit. Here’s a flick for young teens that few others are going to like; it substitutes wit and charm for a lot of yelling. Giamatti goes a little overboard playing the spectacularly nasty producer (he’s barely human), but Muniz (whose character learns a lesson about telling the truth) and pal Amanda Bynes are likable leads.
