THE GAME IS FAR FROM OVER.

A U.S. Senator’s daughter is kidnapped by her teacher; forensic psychologist Alex Cross (Morgan Freeman) tries to find her with the help of her bodyguard (Monica Potter). Perhaps it’s unexpected that Kiss the Girls (1997) should get a sequel, but Freeman is back as Alex Cross and that’s a boon to the movie. Its tale begins in a conventional but fairly exciting way, but the filmmakers lose control of their project and complicate the story at two occasions. Their aim is likely to shake up the audience’s expectations, but the twists cause credibility to go out the window.
