RIGHT SCHEME, WRONG GUYS!
Two klutzes (Charlie Sheen, Thomas Haden Church) accidentally knock up two sisters; their mean-spirited father, warden Sven Sorenson (Marlon Brando), decides to hold twin weddings. The filmmakers must have looked to the Coen brothers; there’s a few wild camera angles, colorful characters, offbeat ingredients and a criminal enterprise. Too bad though that the writing is unoriginal and unsympathetic; moronic might be the best way to describe it. Still, Brando is not entirely wasted as the gigantic “Swede”.
1999-Canada. 94 min. Color. Directed by Yves Simoneau. Cast: Marlon Brando (Sven Sorenson), Charlie Sheen (Bud Dierston), Thomas Haden Church (Larry Lundstrom), Donald Sutherland, Mira Sorvino, Martin Sheen… David Arquette.
