Anger Management

angermanagementAfter an incident on an airplane, clothing designer Dave Buznik (Adam Sandler), who was born to be a victim, is sentenced to undergo anger management therapy with the very unorthodox dr. Buddy Rydell (Jack Nicholson). There are cameos here that put a smile on one’s face, but the film is essentially an astonishing waste of talent. A strange failure, because anger issues must be a thankful subject for any comedian. Nicholson is at his silliest, but some of the scenes are just contrived and awkward.

2003-U.S. 106 min. Color. Widescreen. Directed by¬†Peter Segal. Cast: Adam Sandler (Dave Buznik), Jack Nicholson (Buddy Rydell), Marisa Tomei (Linda), John Turturro, Luis Guzm√°n, Allen Covert… January Jones, Woody Harrelson, Kevin Nealon, Harry Dean Stanton. Cameos: Heather Graham, John C. Reilly, John McEnroe, Rudy Giuliani.

Trivia: Later inspired a TV series, Anger Management (2012-2014).
